GUIDE-FOR-FOREIGN-STUDENTS

Students can choose subjects from the following catalogues. It is possible to mix subjects from undergraduate and graduate study programmes.

Application process

After being nominated by his/her home institution, the student needs to send an application form together with the following documents

  • Incoming student application form
  • Curriculum Vitae (Croatian or English),
  • Learning Agreement proposal containing planned courses at the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica. The Learning Agreement may be modified after student’s arrival and the discussion with academic coordinator, or
  • Description of Intended Studies (Croatian or English) – NOTE! Only if the Learning Agreement is not submitted,
  • Grade Transcript and Certificate of Enrollment at home university,
  • Copy of the passport (first page with the photo and personal information).

All documents should be submitted by e-mail to erasmus@vvg.hr and marina.crnko@vvg.hr and then sent by post to the following address: Veleučilište Velika Gorica, Zagrebačka 5, 10410VelikaGorica, Croatia (or brought upon arrival if it was sent by mail).

ADMISSION

After the deadlines the student will receive a letter of acceptance issued by the University of Applied Sciences VelikaGorica (VeleučilišteVelikaGorica).

Information about the studying and living will be sent to the student who completed the application procedure and is accepted.

Upon arrival students must submit following:

  • Copy of International Health insurance card valid in Croatia (a private one or, if you are from the EU, at least EU Health card).
  • Three ID photographs (4x6cm)
  • Personal Identification Number or OIB (issued by the Croatian National Tax Authority). Click here for instructions on how to get it.

DEADLINES*:

For winter semester and full year: June 20
For summer semester: January 10
*Late applications may be accepted

University of Applied Sciences welcomes students with disability and our facility is equipped with elevator that will allow you access to classroom.

Information about visa

Information about visa requirenment can be found at Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs website.

 

Temporary Stay Permit

If your nationality doesn’t require visa to enter Croatia you must obtain a temporary stay permit once you are in Croatia.

For nationalities that do require visa to enter Croatia you will need to apply for your Temporary Stay Permit before coming to Croatia.

Students will obtain Temporary Stay Permit at Ministry of Interiror (in Velika Gorica or in Zagreb). Process of obtaining TSP is 15 days upon arrival in Croatia.

To obtain TSP you must have following documents:

  1. TSP application form – download
  2. A photo 30X45mm
  3. A copy of passport
  4. A proof of valid health insurance (travel insurance)
  5. For student who receive any kind of support (including Erasmus) a proof that confirms that student is entitled to support and the exact amount of support or bank statement which proofs that student has enough funds to cover her/his stay
  6. Letter of Acceptance or Learning Agreement
  7. 20 HRK (approximately 3 EUR) for stamp fees
  8. 240 HRK (approximately 32 EUR) for all students to make the residence card or
  9. 500 HRK (approximately 70 EUR) for non-EU residents

 

Accomodation

Admission to University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica does not include accommodation. We will upon your request provide you with help and assistance to find accommodation.

Average cost of accomodation is between 200-500 EUR. Student can rent an apartment in Velika Gorica (cheaper) or Zagreb or apply for dorm in Zagreb.

 

Transportation

If student is living in Zagreb there is aslo financial cost of transportation. Monthly fee for student ZET bus card is 310 HRK (approximately 41 EUR) .

 

Strani državljani

Za upis na preddiplomske stručne studije Veleučilišta mogu se natjecati i pristupnici koji nisu državljani Republike Hrvatske. Ukoliko temeljem mjesta na rang listi steknu pravo upisa u 1. semestar preddiplomskih stručnih studija, tim će pristupnicima biti omogućen uvjetni upis na Veleučilište Velika Gorica.

Prilikom upisa na studijske programe Veleučilišta, pristupnici koji nisu državljani RH moraju imati osobni identifikacijski broj (OIB). Procedura izdavanja OIB-a je sljedeća:

  • ispuniti ZAHTJEV (dobije se u Poreznoj upravi)
  • priložiti fotokopiju putovnice ili važećeg dokumenta
  • predati dokumente u Poreznu upravu, Avenija Dubrovnik 32, Zagreb.

Uvjetno upisani strani državljani obavezni su podnijeti zahtjev za priznavanje inozemne obrazovne kvalifikacije. Troškove priznavanja snosi Veleučilište Velika Gorica.

Zahtjev za priznavanje inozemnih školskih kvalifikacija o završenom srednjem obrazovanju u općim, gimnazijskim i umjetničkim programima podnosi se Agenciji za odgoj i obrazovanje. Upute za pokretanje postupka priznavanja, informacije o potrebnoj dokumentaciji i zahtjev za priznavanje inozemne obrazovne kvalifikacije na hrvatskom i engleskom jeziku nalaze se na mrežnim stranicama Agencije za odgoj i obrazovanje.

Zahtjev za priznavanje inozemnih školskih kvalifikacija o završenom srednjem obrazovanju u strukovnim programima podnosi se Agenciji za strukovno obrazovanje i obrazovanje odraslih. Informacije o postupku priznavanja, potrebnoj dokumentaciji i obrazac zahtjeva na hrvatskom i engleskom jeziku nalaze se na mrežnim stranicama Agencije za strukovno obrazovanje i obrazovanje odraslih.

Nakon dobivanja rješenja o priznavanju inozemne obrazovne kvalifikacije, upis na preddiplomske stručne studije postaje pravovaljan.

Sukladno članku 19. Zakona o priznavanju inozemnih obrazovnih kvalifikacija (NN br. 158/2003, 198/2003, 138/2006 i 45/2011.) „Školske svjedodžbe, diplome i druge javne isprave o stečenoj naobrazbi izdane do 8. listopada 1991. godine u obrazovnim ustanovama na području bivše SFRJ izjednačene su po pravnoj snazi sa školskim svjedodžbama, diplomama i drugim javnim ispravama obrazovnih ustanova Republike Hrvatske i ne podliježu postupku priznavanja.“

Studijski programi na Veleučilištu Velika Gorica izvode se na hrvatskom jeziku.
