Science Festival – High School Students from Gorica Attend Lectures by Our Professors

07.05.2025

The Science Festival is taking place today at our University of Applied Sciences.
Around 80 students from the Economic and Vocational High School in Velika Gorica attended a lecture by our professor, MSc Dajana Jelčić Dubček. The highly engaging topic titled “Earth in the Satellite Network” held the students’ attention for a full 60 minutes and sparked many questions.

Following this lecture, which took place in Hall F, another group of high school students from the same schools took part in a Web Technologies workshop led by our professor Ivica Čulina.

The Science Festival continues with lectures in the afternoon as well.
At 4 PM, Dr. Boris Čulina will deliver a lecture titled Mathematics and the Language of Mathematics, followed by a presentation at 5 PM by our students Vedran Mrvoš and Kristina Đurašin, under the mentorship of Professor Andrija Šaban and Dr. Ante Vučetić. They will present The Student Achievement Network – Manufacturing a Replacement Motorcycle Part Using the Lamination Process and the Results of Parameter Changes in the Operation of an Internal Combustion Engine.
Both presentations will be held in Hall F.
