Our third-year UKU students had the opportunity to experience the dynamics of television journalism firsthand as part of the Crisis Communication course during a field trip to RTL Television.
The field visit provided valuable insight into the daily work of media professionals, as students learned about the news production process, content creation and editing, and had the chance to talk with members of RTL’s editorial and technical teams.

Ivana Ivanda Rožić, a recognizable face of RTL and one of the most respected names on the Croatian journalism scene, welcomed the students and shared valuable knowledge about how crisis communication functions in real time — when information changes by the second and pressure intensifies.

“Television is alive. Every minute brings a new story, a new challenge. In crisis situations, there is no room for mistakes — quick reaction, clarity, and responsibility are key,” Rožić emphasized, inspiring students with her expertise and passion for journalism.
