University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica at the AIRVG2025 Airshow

The University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica actively participated in this year’s AIRVG 2025 airshow. As one of the signatories of the “City of Aviation” Charter of Friendship, the University took the opportunity to present itself to the large number of visitors at this popular event, held for several years now at the site of the old terminal of Franjo Tuđman Airport, and originally launched in 2017.
Our faculty members, led by Dean Dr. Tamara Čendo Metzinger, were available at our booth to engage with all who stopped by, seeking information about our study programs and the overall operations of the University. Among the visitors to our exhibition booth were also pilots from the Croatian Air Force aerobatic team “Wings of Storm”.
This year’s airshow attracted more than 20,000 visitors, a clear sign of the strong public interest in aircraft and aviation in general. This level of engagement serves as a powerful indicator of future interest in our academic programs—especially in Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics.
It is worth noting that, in addition to VVG, the signatories of the Charter include: the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, Zagreb International Airport, Croatian Air Navigation Services, Aeronautical Technical Centre Velika Gorica, Croatia Airlines, Trade Air, Aeronautical Technical School “Rudolf Perešin”, Aeroclub Velika Gorica, the City of Velika Gorica, and the Velika Gorica Tourist Board.
