A series of lectures was held in Velika Gorica to mark World Diabetes Day, organized by Prof. Sanja Kalambura, PhD, Vice-Dean of the Velika Gorica University of Applied Sciences.

VVG’s partners in this initiative were the Lions Club Lenuci, Lions Club Zrinjevac, the Croatian Society for Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases, and the Tourist Board of the City of Velika Gorica.

Educational sessions were organized for around one hundred primary and secondary school students from Velika Gorica.

Through an engaging and interactive workshop, the students learned more about healthy lifestyle habits, the importance of proper nutrition, and chronic disease prevention.

To wrap up the event, everyone enjoyed healthy desserts, seasonal fruit, and spring water, kindly provided by the sponsors.
