VVG at a networking event in Brussels
30.06.2025

Representatives of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica, Jelena Levak, mag. crim., lecturer, and Antonio Klobučar, mag. geogr., mag. oec., participated in the networking event “Horizon Europe Info Day – Cluster 3: Civil Security for Society”, held on 11–12 June 2025 in Brussels.
A total of 19 topics across 6 destinations were opened, with the deadline for submitting project proposals set for 12 November 2025.
The event provided a comprehensive overview of the current calls for project proposals, covering key areas such as disaster resilience, the fight against crime and terrorism, border management, cybersecurity, and the protection of critical infrastructure. Participants had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the application process, establish new contacts, and build consortia for future project collaborations. A particularly valuable aspect of the event was the opportunity for direct networking and participation in project idea presentations (pitch sessions).
The Info Days were organized by #SEREN5, in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs and the European Research Executive Agency.
In addition to attending presentations, VVG representatives held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of international institutions and companies, with the goal of establishing partnerships for future project applications.
The participation of representatives from the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica was made possible thanks to the support of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, awarded under the Public Call for Participation in Networking Events within Horizon Europe – Cluster 3. The support was funded by the NCP_WIDERA.NET project (No. 101055286) under the Horizon Europe programme.
