Dr Sarah J Waugh is a Reader in Vision Sciences, Research Co-ordinator and Director of Anglia Vision Research in Vision and Hearing Sciences, Anglia Ruskin University. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and Member of the College of Optometrists, UK. A GOC (UK) registered Optometrist, Dr Waugh specialises in paediatric optometry and binocular vision having completed a Clinical Masters Degree in Melbourne. Dr Waugh established a hospital-funded paediatric ophthalmology service within the University Eye Clinic at Anglia Ruskin University in 2014. She lectures in vision sciences and investigative optometric techniques and is Consultant Paediatric Optometrist with Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. Her research into spatial vision in normal, anomalous (amblyopic) and developing visual systems, stems from a PhD in physiological optics (University of Houston), and Postdoctoral Research Council Fellowships in Ophthalmology (McGill University) and Psychology (University of Melbourne).
