Course Objective: Gaining knowledge of psychological processes responsible for the occurence, experience and control of stress. |

Course Contents: Brain and its functions, parts of the brain, organisation of nervous system. Sensations and perception, types of sensation, processing information, organisation of perception, influence of emotions on perception, optical illusions, illusions, hallucinations. emotions, origin and type of emotions, emotional control. Motivation, innate and acquired motifs, conflict of motifs, social and biological motifs, frustration of motifs. Stress, sources of stress, types of reaction to stress and frustration, stress models, coping stress. Group, group dynamics, leadership, conformism, conflicts between groups, group mechanisms. Aggression, types of aggression, aggression and frustration, control of aggression. Characters and accommodation, character traits – innate and acquired. Character disorders, neuroses, psychoses, addictions. |
