Practical information
Crisis management is the process of identifying, assessing, and mitigating the impact of unforeseen events that can have negative consequences for an organization, community, or the society as a whole. While the basic principles of crisis management have remained the same over time, there are several modern challenges that make it more difficult to effectively manage crises.
Several challenges are typical for Mediterranean countries, especially during the summer season. Fire protection, maritime emergencies, protection of cultural heritage and urban security pose a significant challenge for the national and local authorities.
The Summer School will be organized around the above-mentioned topics with a combination of lectures, case studies, site visits and practical (table-top) exercises.
