About Velika Gorica
The University of Applied Sciences is located in Velika Gorica, a town 16 km southeast of the Croatian capital – Zagreb. The city of Velika Gorica is the biggest and the main town in the traditional Turopolje region. It is very well connected with Zagreb, as well as The Zagreb Airport “Franjo Tuđman”, which is nearby in the village of Pleso. With the population of around 70.000 including all the surrounding municipalities, it is the sixth largest town in Croatia. The entire area is well known for its excellent cuisine offered in many restaurants and excursion sites around the town.
