Content of course of lectures: 1. Binocular vision. 2. Basics. Phases. Conditions. Development. 3. Retina correspondency. Horopter and panum. 4. Stereopsy. Stereo vision. Leading eye. 5. Anomalies of binocular vision. 6. Accommodation and convergence. Relaxing position. Parts of convergence. 7. Checking of muscle balance. Phorias. 8. Phora measurement methods. 9. Binocular equalising. |
||||
General and specific competences (knowledge and skills): Students will acquire necessary knowledge on the development of sharpness of vision and binocular vision with children and the influence of heterophorias on binocular vision. They will be abte to establish axial and lateral error, explain it, and identify correction. |
